ICANN Helps "clownpenis.fart" Come Closer To Reality. July 1, 2008 | Tate Linden Ever been frustrated by the fact that all the good (or great) potential names are already squatted on the internet? Any time you want to start a website there's someone who either already is running a business on the address or has reserved it and may be willing to sell it for a steep price.

Yahoo Launches 2 new email addresses!

    http://tnerd.com/ 2008/ 06/ 30/ yahoo-launches-2-new-email-addresses/

Yahoo! has launched 2 new TLDs (Top Level Domains) for it’s email service. Now you can have email addresses ending with Ymail.com or rocketmail.com. This gives it’s already existing loyal email users to have new accounts with a Ymail or Rocketmail extension. However, I am not sure if this might lead to brand cannibalization.

New Top Level Domains Are Coming

    http://solutionsarepower.com/ 2008/ new-top-level-domains-are-coming/

The ICANN Board just approved unanimously the motion to adopt the New gTLD policy and to move forward with the implementation of New gTLDs. The implementation details are still subject to Board approval later this year. Under the current timeline, applications will be called for in early to mid 2009.
