night

Night is Yin and day is Yang according to the Chinese. Yin and Yang are opposing forces. Most people work in the day, but the night is full of creatures who work the graveyard shift (as well as other nocturnal creatures who come out of their daytime hiding). Some people feel more alive and productive during the night.

There is nothing inherently bad about the night, but sometimes when artists, authors, and other creative personalities suffer episodes of depression, they may refer to this time period as the "night" of their lives.

The night is usually cooler and calmer, with the moon being its representative. Nighttime is the perfect time for scary stories, and criminals seem to be more active by night, but it is also the perfect time for star gazing and romance. Whatever you do in the daytime, it's always nice when it comes to an end and you get to slip into something like a natural latex mattress bed and get some shut eye.
