NKOTB or New Kids on the Block started out as a young quintet from Boston, signed by Maurice Starr. The group had a couple member changes in the early stages, but ultimately rested with five members; Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Joey McIntyre.
The first album, which was self-titled, was released by the New Kids on the Block in April of 1986. Their second album, titled Hangin’ Tough was released in September of 1988 and by early 1989 began really taking off. By the early 90’s the band had released their third album, Step By Step and were one of the most popular bands in the world.
The band broke up after a mediocre response to their fourth album, Face the Music, in 1993, and reunited in 2007 to release their most recent album to date, The Block.
