A plant nursery exists to take care of young plants, while a baby nursery exists to care for young children.

A plant nursery may consist of several greenhouses to shelter plants from the elements as they mature. Automatic feeding and watering systems might also exist within the nursery.

A baby nursery is usually a small room in a home that contains baby nursery furniture to make caring for the baby easier. It may have a nursing chair to soothe and nurse the child, a crib for sleeping, a cabinet to store diapers, creams, etc. and a changing unit for diaper changes.
