President ObamaObama is the surname of Barack Hussein Obama II, who became the forty-fourth President of the United States after President George W. Bush’s second-term expired. Obama became a U.S. Senator in 2005 after serving three-terms in the Illinois Senate.

During his presidential campaign, Obama raised record amounts of money via small donations on the Internet. His campaign ran on a theme of change and called for energy independence, universal healthcare and a rapid end to the war in Iraq.

Obama inherited the presidency during time of war and the worst financial crisis since the depression. His initial approach has been to draw expertise from all sides of the political spectrum and encourage debate in order to find the best solutions.
