    chocolate on their hands?

    http://bodyontheline.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 20/ chocolate-on-their-hands/

I had the good fortune to meet a colleague today who stumbled upon my blog. I had been given his name by a rafiq, but I haven’t really had the time to make contacts with new people in Nablus as of yet. I was so happy to find someone on my campus who is active in the boycott movement here in at An Najah University.

    you do the math

Before I begin my post on my first few days at An Najah National University, I must just comment a bit on this photograph here, which is very hard to see and even harder to read the writing on the building, but it deserves a comment. I had to go back to Ramallah the other day and I waited for 2 1/2 hours to get out of Huwarra checkpoint.

nablus: city of resistance & poetry

    http://bodyontheline.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 15/ nablus-city-of-resistance-poet…

This photograph shows one of the mountains that surrounds the city of Nablus. At the top of it, around the tuft of trees, is an Israeli Aggressive Forces (IAF) military base. Nabulsis cannot travel to the top of this mountain, a kind of panopticon that watches over Palestinians’ every move, like the drones that make their presence known nightly over Nablus.

    thursday morning

    http://bodyontheline.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 14/ thursday-morning/

This is what the street outside Deheishe refugee camp looked like when I left this morning at 7 AM. I hadn’t heard any stones being thrown at all, but I was happy to see the remnants in the street to know that there were people resisting.

    Palestinian Award Winning Journalist Assaulted

    http://babeltalk.net/ talk/ 2008/ 06/ 30/ palestinian-award-winning-journalist-a…

This is the normal behavior of the Israeli Occupation Forces, IOF. Remember the Reuters photographer who was killed by the Zionists few weeks before!! They massacre children and women. They demolish houses and uproot trees. This is the real ugly face of the apartheid regime of Israel.
