Many major broadcasting networks now provide online TV rebroadcasts of certain shows, which makes watching television more convenient for many viewers.

Recent episodes of popular television shows are routinely available for later viewing on the websites of the networks that produce those shows. This makes it possible for people who have other interests or obligations during specific time slots to watch TV shows online at their own convenience.

On-demand online TV is easily accessible, being offered for free by national networks as well as some cable networks. However, cable networks offer much less free online content for viewing.
