Some say that she is the most influential woman in the world. As a child Oprah Winfrey wore potato sacks as dresses. Now, she lives on a 42-acre estate with Ocean and mountain views. But, more importantly, Oprah is a philanthropist. Not hoarding her wealth, she has given hundred of millions of dollars to charities.

Maybe because she is so human and has weaknesses and foibles but has risen above her past is why people have come to love her so much. Oprah showed her viewers and fans everywhere that she could channel her energies to overcome being overweight and inspired many to be able to do the same. Having suffered abuses in different forms, Oprah has not succumbed to being a victim or relinquished her inner strength. And Oprah isn't afraid to tell her story or listen compassionately and intently to others tell theirs. Her talk show blew past all the others in popularity.

Oprah Winfrey can talk about things big or small and sway public opinion. Oprah was a great driving force in assisting our nation's president, Barack Obama, during his campaign for president. She is also partially responsible for popularizing the Acai Berry.
