Firstly, Hellboy turned out to be a monster hit with the critics and audience loving it. After that Pan’s Labyrinth happened which made him a critically acclaimed director.

Straight to Hell
http://dcairns.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 13/ straight-to-hell/A few spoilers ahead. Guillermo del Toro with cast. I like Abe Sapiens’ posture here. Fiona’s a massive Guillermo del Toro fan, and I generally like him. Our favourite is THE DEVIL’S BACKBONE. So it was with some excitement we sloped off to a preview screening of HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, but with disappointment we sloped out afterwards.

Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) - Movie Wallpaper
http://www.cinemaisdope.com/ pans-labyrinth-2006-movie-wallpaper-21/[ View Image (945×640) ] Ivana Baquero puts in one of the best kids performances in a film in recent memory as Ofelia in Pan’s Labyrinth. I still remember seeing this for the first time at Fantastic Fest and the first time I saw it at Sitges. This is one of those timeless films that never ages and only gets better.
