    How not to save money

    http://www.allthatblooms.net/ ?p=1024

I mentioned earlier this year (the same day a tree tore the power line off our house andd we were without power for a day) that our gas was turned off because someone (me) kept putting off paying the bill.  Well, we now owe over $2,000, our gas is still off and it’s getting chilly.  Mark finally called the gas company to set something up to get the gas back on.

A friend of mine asked if I could compile a list out of a recent article that I wrote about Financial Compatibility. As we know, things change when you move in with someone. Sometimes more than we initially realize…some examples may include (certainly are not limited to): 1.

Financially Compatible - A Personal Note

    http://twentiesmoneymag.com/ blog/ 2008/ 09/ 23/ financially-compatible-a-person…

Money has been known to destroy relationships. Some of the worst divorces are often the result of money issues and the stress that it can cause between two people. Know thy caller Filed in Posts That Pay The Bills It’s something I don’t talk about much, but I hate phones. I hate their intrusive ringing, cutting across what I need to do. I communicate much better with the written word than I do verbally, which is why I’m so often tongue-tied and embarrassed out in the real world.

Switching to Paperless Statements to Save Money, Time and the Planet

    http://ourfourpenceworth.com/ switching-to-paperless-statements-to-save-money-ti…

While going through my piles of unopened mail (mostly bills) the other day, I decided I’d had enough and finally took the plunge into the world of Paperless Billing and Statements. Even though I’ve been fully online - shopping, selling, socializing, banking and bill paying - for years now, for some reason, I’d always felt hesitant about not receiving hard copies of my bills.

Is something better than nothing? Filed in Posts That Pay The Bills This trip is turning into a doozy. I’m starting to question whether it’s better to be online for a couple of hours every day — during which, invariably, only some things get done, which means that other things get thoroughly
