A penis is a part of the male anatomy used for procreation and urination.

The human penis is considered to be quite large in comparison to other similar primates. It can vary in size from man to man but generally is in proportion to the size of the male body on which it is found.

An average non-erect penis can measure from three to four inches from the base to the tip. Some environmental circumstances, like going swimming or cold weather can cause temporary shrinkage of as much as two inches.

Those that are not satisfied with penis length or girth sometimes choose to have their penis enlarged, either by surgery, pump, or even penis enlargement pills.

When males are very young, parents can choose to have the penis circumcised, which means removing some or all of the foreskin located near the tip of the penis.
