During a Monday press conference, Eagles coach Andy Reid was asked about whether the situation involving cornerback Lito Sheppard is any closer to being resolved. The Philadelphia Eagles sued their former wide receiver Terrell Owens for bonus money he has not repaid the team. The suit for nearly $770,000 was filed in U.S. District Court on Monday. Owens lost in arbitration earlier this year, a ruling calling him to repay $1.7 million in bonuses the team paid him when he played in Philadelphia in 2004 and ‘05.

Roy Williams of the Detroit Lions has found his way into many trade rumors since the end of the 2007 NFL season. Williams is a very talented wide receiver who some speculate may be on the move. In 2007, Williams had 838 yards, five touchdowns and caught 64 passes. Williams missed four games due to injury.

Eagles coach Andy Reid says he will approach CB Lito Sheppard about his contract situation soon. Reid left the door open for Sheppard’s deal to be upgraded.
