Today, A Dog A Day has reached a milestone. It’s been six months since the first post on this blog and of course we need to celebrate in style. To commemorate half a year of daily dog photos, I’m putting together a book of favourites.

There are only a few days left to enter your favourite photo of Edinburgh in the “Love Your City” contest being run by the Cockburn Association, Edinburgh’s Civic Society, as the closing date for entries is 1 October 2008. You can enter any photo which portrays Edinburgh or the view from Edinburgh.

By now you all know that Canon Australia is having their annual Photo5 competition, I’ve only blogged about it a bajillion cajillion times already. Well if you’ve entered the competition you should have received your box by now, though those of you who have entered a little later yours are probably still on the way.

I just received an email that my entry into the Insect Competition has been moved. I just checked and my entry is not in the Voting Booth. I can understand not every image will be put into the final voting, can I have an explaination on why it was moved? Thank you.

As phontography week comes to an end, we wanted to close it out with a quick round up of a couple photo competitions for mobile imaging enthusiasts. Sony/Ericsson is sponsoring a competition for mobile photography with a very lofty prize… The global Expert’s Choice winner will receive a trip of a lifetime to one of five destinations worth approximately £10,000/12,500 EUR.
