The colour purple
http://beingkaren.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ colour-purple.htmlNot really a colour I scrap with much. Actually, I avoid it!! Funny really, because I love wearing aubergine and deep purples, but I cannot get my head around scrapping with purple. So... Deb's challenge took me out of my comfort zone again:

The reason for the suspended services at WeCite Blog was actually a viral infection called Infectious mononucleosis that I was suffering from and was hospitalized for the past week and a half.

Complete Authonomy
http://thebookaholic.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ complete-authonomy.htmlJean Hannah Edelstein on the Guardian blog reports on an initiative by HarperCollins to help new writers avoid the slush-pile. Instead of posting an unsolicited manuscript which may just be filed in the bin, writers can now post up to 10,000 words on the Authonomy website ("social network for writers and book-lovers alike") which will be judged by readers.

Both have fold-down, removable face-plates, which in the GT920U’s case is motorized.

A Year in Dog Days
http://www.shoutdaily.com/ 2008/ 05/ a-year-in-dog-days/My husband and I are German Shepherd people. Once you fall in love with a specific breed, you can’t imagine life with a substitute. Labs, Goldens and any assortment of pound puppies could easily steal our hearts, but when we picture ourselves snuggled up with a four-pawed family member, it’s a German Shepherd Dog that naturally fits into our mind’s eye.

Another addition to the TBR pile
http://nymeria87.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 12/ another-addition-to-the-tbr-pile/I’m not all that much into pre-ordering so I just ordered Jeff Somer’s The Digital Plague, as it was published today, at my local Barnes&Noble store, so I’ll probably have and read it in about a week. The Digital Plague is the sequel to The Electric Church and sounds promising so far if you can judge it by its predecessor.
