    make your own pinhole camera

    http://blog.simplehuman.com/ 2008/ 09/ make-your-own-p.html

Pinhole photography is as low-tech as you can get. But in the digital age, low-tech is making a comeback. By letting light in through a tiny hole, a pinhole camera captures an image on a negative or photo paper without using a lens (or anything else fancy) during a long exposure.

    Skull Pinhole Camera: Morbid Photography

    http://www.walyou.com/ blog/ 2008/ 09/ 24/ skull-pinhole-camera-morbid-photograp…

This pinhole camera is made from a skull of a 13 year old girl. If that isn’t morbid enough for you, the pictures that are granted by its use are a bit eerie and freaky. The creator, Wayne Martin Bleger, makes great use of true organs and combines so with metals and precious stones providing an extremely freaky, yet innovative camera for scary photography.

Depth-of-field: Separating the background and the subject

    http://www.binaryturf.com/ depth-of-field-separating-the-background-and-the-subj…

Depth-of-field is the distance between the closets and the farthest objects which are in sharp focus in the photograph. You'd have come across photographs wherein the background is out-of-focus and blurred while the subject is in sharp focus. That's the difference the depth-of-field makes.

Pinhole Nude from Sweden [Daily Voyeur]

    http://www.nakedcity.com/ 2008/ 08/ pinhole_nude_from_sweden_daily_voyeur.php

The interview with Joseph E. Reid about his pinhole nude project got me a bit curious about what other photographers may have done with nakedness and pinhole cameras, and I found this photo by Flickr user peterpinhole. Pretty awesome, and I'm a total sucker for images cropped into squares for some reason.

Pinhole Nude Project: The How and the Why [Interview]

    http://www.nakedcity.com/ 2008/ 08/ pinhole_nude_project_the_how_and_the_why_int…

I met Joseph E. Reid a few years ago when he asked me to pose for a nude photo project he was doing with a pinhole camera. The shoot involved a lot of sitting very still. The project has finally come to a conclusion, so I asked him a few questions about the why and the how of making images with this process.

    The Cameratruck Project

    http://blog.wolffmyren.com/ 2008/ 08/ 04/ the-cameratruck-project/

This is super cool - it’s essentially a pinhole camera, but on a gigantic scale… The cameratruck works in exactly the same way as the first cameras ever made. These are called pinhole cameras. They work according to these basic principles: Light enters a sealed chamber through a tiny opening, and falls onto the opposite wall inside.

    This Is My Pinhole Camera

    http://www.pinasorbust.com/ 2008/ 07/ 04/ this-is-my-pinhole-camera/

7/4/08 This is my pinhole camera. And I made it all by myself. Well, not exactly since my girlfriend, Irene, contributed a lot in the construction process. It’s a 6″ x 8″ x 4″ box made up of illustration board I bought from National Bookstore. I chose to use to construct it black side out for aesthetic reasons.
