    Sneaky Peeky!

    http://www.weddingbee.com/ 2008/ 10/ 09/ wedding-centerpieces/

Things I can’t wait to see in action this weekend! Tables named after the settings of classic novels and printed on pages torn out of an old novel. Place cards with black, gold, or cream buttons depending on the meal choice. A beyond adorable sweetheart table centerpiece crafted entirely by hand by Mamacado.

The Eggplants’ Ribbon Board & Placecards

    http://www.weddingbee.com/ 2008/ 10/ 06/ the-eggplants-ribbon-board-placecards/

The one project I unfortunately didn’t get many photos of on W-Day, was our ribbon board with our decorated place cards. I say unfortunately, because this baby took hours upon hours of grueling labor.

Wedding Crashing: A Scenic Vineyard Fete

    http://www.thisyounghouse.com/ 2008/ 10/ wedding-crashing-a-scenic-vineyard-fete…

We’ve mentioned my best friend Cat (whom we set up with John’s close friend/cousin Travis) a few times before. Well, they finally tied the knot and my best friend is now officially my cousin. We could not have been happier to witness their amazing late September nuptials at Breaux Vineyards in gorgeous Leesburg, Virginia.

More Seating Arrangements for the Reception

    http://luckyorchidwedding.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 10/ more-seating-arrangements-for-…

One of my favorite event planners, Beth Helmstetter, sent over these photos of escort cards and table numbers for an event I worked on for her last week. These reception cards were handwritten in Cherise script on ivory cardstock in chocolate brown ink.

    Hanging Tag Placecards

    http://luckyorchidwedding.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 10/ hanging-tag-placecards.html

I love this idea for placecards: My client, Ashley, used hangtags with little pockets where I wrote each name in pink on the pocket and the table on a white insert card. Photography by Jennifer Domenick of Love Life Images. Letterpress cards by Rebecca Shriver.

Seating Card Completion Time: 1/2 a Movie

    http://www.weddingbee.com/ 2008/ 09/ 29/ seating-card-completion-time-12-a-movie…

Here’s the story: I put on Made of Honor, started making my seating cards, and by the time the main character was meeting with her pastor for the first time, I was done with them! Now I realize for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, that means nothing.

    We Have a Kitchen Table?!

    http://www.weddingbee.com/ 2008/ 09/ 29/ destination-wedding-shipping/

Many people ask me what the hardest part of planning a destination wedding is. They guess it is choosing venues, restaurants or table linens. The fact is, the hardest part about planning a destination wedding is figuring out how to get everything to the destination! Every planning and decor decision makes me think about how we will get the item to the other side of the country.
