    The Getty Center

Los Angeles, California. My mother is into Baroque period art so we went up to the Getty to see a show of Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s work. Frankly, baroque doesn’t do it for me but Bernini’s drawings are spectacular and worth seeing if you’re in the area.

New website for St Mary’s College

    http://blog.garethjmsaunders.co.uk/ archives/ 2008/ 09/ 30/ new-website-for-st-m…

When I was a student at St Mary’s College (1989-1992), the Faculty of Divinity at the University of St Andrews, there was no such thing as the World Wide Web. So it feels a little surreal that I helped design, build and launch the website for my alma mater.

New Releases: TV on the Radio, Cold War Kids, Genghis Tron

    http://www.buzzgrinder.com/ 2008/ new-releases-tv-on-the-radio-cold-war-kids-gen…

TV on the Radio’s Dear Science has been getting a lot of buzz so if you’re “hip” and “with it” you should probably get on that. Genghis Tron is putting out some remixes, Danielson Famile is reissuing some vinyl and if for some reason you need a physical copy of the Girl Talk album that did the pay-your-price thing a while back, that’s out too.

The lovely Duane Street (near Hudson Street) My good friend Nina just returned from a trip to The Big Apple... ahhh lucky thing. I'm still hoping to get there next year but until then, living vicariously will have to suffice :) I'm paraphrasing...

Home again, home again, jiggety jig…

    http://dianealdred.com/ 2008/ 09/ 17/ home-again-home-again-jiggety-jig/

Well, I’m back and I seem to have brought back some sunshine - not as warm as California sunshine but very welcome nontheless. I managed to twist my knee playing tennis on the my last day so the 10 hour journey home in my cramped seat, followed by a 3 hour drive home to Dorset was really uncomfortable and painful.
