RecycledIdeas is a fellow Etsian I respect and admire very much. She is dedicated to preserving animals and their habitats and - of course - recycling. She has found ways to reuse every day objects that many people throw away. They are not only functional, but beautiful as well.

For those who have been following my recent success in working for SC Johnson's Clean Home Journal, I wanted to post the new theme that was posted today! The theme for June is "Petal Pushers" and we would like you to use flowers (real, fake, or seeds) to create a craft or art project.

I love, love, love, this paper. Plantable Seeded Wrapping Paper from Bloom is too cool. Their paper products are beautiful and embedded with wildflower seeds, so you can use it and then plant it. What I really want to do is figure out how to make this myself; I can’t see how they do it without the seeds sprouting though.

Ooh! New “Think & Write & Grow” journals from Botanical Paperworks feature artwork by Kal Barteski on plantable paper covers. The journals have 150 recycled pages and tie together. So, I suppose if you’re not one to hang onto your journals, you can see what kinds of flowers your musings grow… Better write nice, happy thoughts in these!

Green is the new Ad. As part of it’s new drive to raise the green-cred on it’s lawn and garden vehicles, Honda sent out a direct mail letter that literally grows. Once soaked in water and planted in soil, the seeds inside the paper itself grow into wildflowers.
