A dream meadow for your little one

A dream meadow for your little one This totally unique Haba Dream Meadow is so cool that I’m almost speechless. Thankfully, I’m not completely lacking words. First take a look: Haba is always producing amazing baby gear, but they outdid themselves with this activity center.

    http://ecochildsplay.com/ 2008/ 09/ 11/ preschool-play-jackie-silberg/

I was inspired by Jessica’s banana. The most eco-friendly choices are so simple, aren’t they? Though a picture says a thousand words, Jamie said it best this week in her post on fun activities for young children: ”The first step in becoming more Earth Friendly is to consume less.” This is why I love Jackie Silberg’s book 500 Five Minute Games.

We've written before about the kids funiture from P'Kolino, and now they've got a new activity table for kids that matches the rest of their collection. It looks fun and modern, but is a picnic-bench type of table best for you? I can imagine this type of table being perfect for some playrooms.

The boys (and some special friends) conducted a cool science experiment today.  Francesco makes me so proud when he suddenly remembers something interesting that he learned months ago in Kindergarten.  His teacher was amazing so it’s no surprise that he remembered something fun he was taught!  Also

    The Importance of Play

    http://happyhealthyhip.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ importance-of-play.html

How much time do you set aside each day for play? No matter what your age - or the age of your children - play is vital to your health and longevity. With technology and medical research helping people to live longer than ever before, staying young at heart is just as important as staying physically fit.

    A Toy with Limitless Possibilities

    http://babble.com/ CS/ blogs/ droolicious/ archive/ 2008/ 08/ 01/ let-s-pretend-…

When I was a kid my favorite toy was a big cardboard box and I would make it into a house. The Eebee Adventure Play Mat and Activity Play House is much more than a cardboard box but I can see it would encourage the same kind of limitless possibilities for pretend play. This toy can really grow with your child.
