Crab poachers, beware!

These shadowy seafaring scofflaws have been nabbed roaming shallow portions of the bay, using long boat hooks to pluck their prey from the sea bottom.

Gerritsen Inlet Bridge

Here’s a Google Map link, in case anyone has any better ideas about the name of the bridge. It’s a deserted and interesting little stretch of beach; I parked my bike at the rest area and walked around Plumb Island, crossing under the Shore Parkway.

Philosophical re-adjustment

Between technical issues and a downturn in mood, I think my work has been suffering.
