New Children's Poet Laureate Announced: Mary Ann Hoberman

(it’s repeated at the bottom of this post. i don’t want to put it here and spoil it. it’s sort of the punchline of the video.) except for the fact that i rant about visitors from other planets, i’m not so different from the poets out there with published collections.

I must say that it is rather surprising given that she isn’t all that well known. I mean, there are other poets far more well known who could have been selected, which begs the question, why Ryan?
