Cousins - Past in Polaroids 9

One of the best places in the entire world while I was growing up was my grandmother’s house in Dearborn. She never remarried after my grandfather died in 1969, but that house held memories of Christmases and Easters, of sleepovers and birthday parties. It always smelled like cookies and tea.

GORJUS and LULA are on her front porch, taking photographs. GORJUS has his back to the STREET. Lula: Baby. BABY. There is a man dressed as a French fry walking down the street. Gorjus: [puzzled, fiddling with his film] Oh? Lula: [waving her hands] FRENCH FRY. HUMAN FRENCH FRY. Gorjus: Uh, HEY DUDE.

I wish I had Chuck’s wardrobe, especially this outfit! (which makes me ache for the holidays) re: coats. My name is Susan, and I am addicted to coats.

    Private Pool.

    http://prettyfakes.com/ ?p=1621

That pool is almost a luminescent green. It’s at the Regal Inn in Starkville—a/k/a, the Darkhorse parking lot. Somehow I’ve managed to never jump in it. The fence is the spooky paintings on the outside of Dave’s. Everything on 669 film through a Polaroid 420; click to embiggen.

shipping container on prior avenue. i love shipping containers. i love the geometric shape and colors. but in this day and age, one can’t just wander into rail yards and shoot away, camera-wise. (ha! a little homeland security humor for you!). but i did discover a few unsecured shipping containers in a random parking lot last sunday.

Twin Daughters/Different Mothers - Past in Polaroids 8

    http://hotfessional.com/ 2008/ 09/ 29/ twin-daughtersdifferent-mothers-past-in-p…

We look alike, don’t we? “M” was one of my brother’s many girlfriends - and like most of them, there’s a story associated with her. Her and my mother, to be specific. The Golden Child met M. at the local roller rink. Remember roller skating in the 1980’s? The Golden Child was a “skate guard”.
