    In Finland, Government Disconnects Itself

    http://techicorner.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ in-finland-government-disconnects-itself/

In Finland, Government Disconnects Itself May 14, 2008 – 12:48 pm I’m still trying to wrap my head around this one. Apparently, Finnish copyright law has a clause that says file sharers can be disconnected from the Internet. I’ve written about this idea before, and, as you might imagine, I don’t like it one bit.

Hulu brings JFK back to life...

    http://theworldwellinherit.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ hulu-brings-jfk-back-to-life.…

John F. Kennedy has become something of a modern myth. Those of us who are history buffs know how truly incredible he was as a political figure, but often times the substance of what he actually stood for gets lost in the mythical fog of hindsight.

The Most Important Edu Website I Know: Education for Well-Being Strikes Again

    http://beyond-school.org/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ bill-farrens-peak-ai/

Real-time Twitter Search - Tweet Scan Education for Well-Being gets my vote as one of the most important educational sites on the web, period. Bill Farren makes the videos he posts there, writes lucid and relevant discussions of them, and links to supplementary resources for possible classroom use.

Pangea day, spritzers and a chicken drumstick

    http://cased.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 12/ pangea-day-report/

Well - I made it along to Pangea day in the end. When I say in the end, I mean that I got round to it after a fashion, because when the weather is glorious and you begin barbecuing then its mighty difficult to break off and go to some event perceived as being ‘worthy’.

    Teachable Moment

    http://www.assortedstuff.com/ ?p=2533

I’d guess that just about every candidate for public office in this country has established a web site to support his or her campaign. But should we allow a 5th grader running for president of the student association to do the same thing?
