    World's best pompadour

    http://thejourney.typepad.com/ the_journey/ 2008/ 10/ worlds-best-pompadour.html

Dan Kimball changes his hair grease & get's mentioned on Boing Boing. Hmmmm. I was always taught that the words "hair" and "grease" shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Unless you were saying, "I'm shampooing the grease out of my hair." But then again, I've never sported a cool pompadour like Dan Kimball of the emerging church.

Tis the season to glam it up!

    http://villaanna.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ tis-season-to-glam-it-up.html

It would seem I'm not the only one going through a "glamour" phase at the moment. This morning I woke to a very exciting trend alert email from thehome.com exclaiming Feminine glamour is all the rage. We don't mean cute cottage frills, we're talking sophistication and opulence with sumptuous fabrics, trims and beads, embroidery and family heirlooms.

At least it looked red if you looked at it in a particular light. Tonight, I saw that Littlest One is going through this same hair stage right now.

Dress Codes - Red, White and Black Give an 80s Flair to Mens Clothing

    http://www.oopstime.com/ news/ style/ 22008/ dress-codes-red-white-and-black-giv…

Dress Codes - Red, White and Black Give an 80s Flair to Mens Clothing THE signs of gentrification in the East Village are unmistakable: luxury co-ops, chic bistros, even a branch of Chase Manhattan where the Second Avenue Deli once stood. But one stretch of bohemia has yet to fall to luxury’s wrecking ball —...

    Fun With Food Flavors, 1945

    http://kitchenretro.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 04/ fun-with-food-flavors-1945/

Food Flavors - for when your food has no flavor! Or needs a surreal flavor makeover. The ad man got a bit overemotional about the Burnett’s Flavors. Pure extract of poetry is what this is - you can tell because there’s a lot of ellipses. He kept getting overwhelmed - probably by all the whiffs of flavor.

With a nod to the bad girl pinups and rockers of the past, rockabilly style incorporates fun elements such as flared skirts, leather jackets, animal prints, checkered patterns, and studded accessories. Above - a page from the May '08 issue of Elle UK.

    Polygamist Chic 2008

    http://www.isabellagucci.com/ 2008/ 04/ 27/ polygamist-chic-2008/

Puff-sleeved blue pastel ankle length dresses , bare makeup-less faces, pouffe wave like bouffants, and the ugliest shoes you ever seen..this is the typical fashion style of a polygamist wife. How scary is that? It’s all the talk lately, these religious tards who are screaming for the right to have their inbred children back.
