Crimson Muddle [Fra]
http://burywhatyouheard.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ crimson-muddle-fra.htmlCrimson Muddle was born from Miss Hellebore's nightmares in late 2003. It went thru several incarnations, while Hellebore was trying to create the perfect creature. But since her various chimeres were never viable, she joined the delirious Deadchovsky. Then, in 2008, Hellebore decided to give it another go...

Various Artists - Fast Product: Mutant Pop 78/79
http://indieducky.com/ ?p=56This compilation of late ’70s singles on the Scottish record label Fast Product, put together for the U.S. market by the PVC label, is notable not just because it features a handful of early Gang of Four recordings, but because it simply is a great record all the way through.

Mogwai - Dracula Family
http://indieducky.com/ ?p=52One would imagine a night around the dinner table in the actual Dracula household can get a bit testy, but Mogwai’s instrumental lament for the undead clan is bright and serene. This unreleased track was recently included in a compilation from swell British music mag Plan B, and was presumably spawned in the same sessions that produced the band’s impending as-of-yet untitled new EP.

Dan Treacy/Television Personalities documentary
http://www.metafilter.com/ 71827/ Dan-TreacyTelevision-Personalities-documentaryDan Treacy and his band Television Personalities have had a long and storied history. Here's a nice little documentary (part one, two, three, four) on 'em. Formed in 1977 during the first wave of UK punk, they put out records on a fairly regular basis until the turn of the millennium, when Treacy seemed to fall off the face of the planet.

Hip Replacement: Pink Flag by Wire (Harvest)
http://smith3000.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 20/ hip-replacement-pink-flag-by-wire-…ONCE a week, I was banished to Record Village’s other shop, a bus ride away in a nearby small market town called Brigg which was if anything, even bleaker than Scunthorpe, but much more countrified. The manager got a day off midweek, so I minded the shop and had to deal with one, maybe even two

Wire
http://soundorvision.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 20/ wire/…I always use this song as an example of how good Wire could be. They actually had another song that charted, but for sheer power this song is the one that grabs you by the throat. Recommended listening on a Friday or Saturday night. 12XU by Wire - apparently both the Sex Pistols and Minor Threat covered this one.

Save Your Soul Because She Wants Revenge
http://opinionhated.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 19/ save-your-soul-because-she-want…Clearly, She Wants Revenge is one of my favorite bands. They were heavily criticized about “ripping off” the Interpol sound. I didn’t think so. I thought they leaned more towards the Dark New Wave sound of Post Punk more than Interpol did . . . plus added in more sexiness to the whole thing.
