posts
Public articles and comments on weblogs or other websites are often referred to as posts, a term which dates back to the days of online Bulletin Board Systems (BBSs) which treated all public messages in much the same way, as if they were pieces of paper posted on a wall. The term also functions as a verb, and when one is finished with a comment or article one "posts" it for the public to read.
One of the leading sites for example of articles and comments to articles posted on the internet is Blogcritics, which features an extraordinary number of postings and active commentary on a wide variety of topics.
