The potato is an exceedingly well-liked staple in households world-wide. The Potato is the fourth leading food crop in the world. China is the world’s primary producer of this starchy marvel.

This root vegetable is popular due to ease of storage, versatility, and the vitamins and nutrients the potato provides for people. A few of these nutrients are vitamin C, potassium, and vitamin B. The potato is best recognized as a carbohydrate containing a hefty amount of starch. It has been confirmed that potatoes protect the human body against certain diseases and illnesses making them further admired.

There are nearly 4000 varieties of potatoes such as purples, Yukon, and Russets. This is the rationale of the potato becoming household staple in addition to a chef’s "go to" side dish. There are almost an infinite number of dishes that can be made using the potato as the key component. Potatoes can be boiled, mashed and blended with an assortment of spices. They can be cut into thin slices and deep fried to generate chips. They can also simply be baked, when you know how long to bake a potato. They can also be served with butter or sour cream.
