protein powders
Most people who are researching protein powders online are doing so in conjunction with a fitness regimen and/or looking to build muscle.
There are many different types of protein powders, each with their own pros and cons. According to the Protein Shakes & Protein Powders blog, the most popular protein powders are:
- Soy Protein
- Rice Protein
- Egg Protein
- and Whey Protein
(derived from milk)
Each of these protein powders have their place in your post workout recovery, but some research should be done to make sure that you are using the most appropriate protein powder to suit your individual needs. For example, because whey protein is obtained from milk, it would not be suitable for strict vegans, who would probably prefer to go with rice or soy protein. However, rice protein is absorbed somewhat slower than whey protein, so if one was after a "quick protein jolt", whey protein would probably be the most apt choice.
