Sunday Morning Walk - Paradise Meadows

    http://comoxvalleykids.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 27/ sunday-morning-walk-paradise…

With the wet, cold, L-O-N-G Winters we’ve had the last couple of years, we can only hope that Summer lingers a bit longer than usual. This Week - Scrap Booking, Summer Art and Lifejackets for Kids

    http://comoxvalleykids.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 21/ this-week-scrap-booking-summ…

The end of July is always a big blur to me. With three family birthdays within a week of each other (including our daughter’s and mine), there’s a whole lot of caking, singing and party action. I want to throw a whole whack of creativity into it all..or wish there was someone around town who specialized in party planning for weary mommies, depending on how far away in the day I am from a nap.

    Shootout at Sodwana Bay

Shootout at Sodwana Bay Sodwana Shootout You will be forgiven for thinking that the Shootout at Sodwana Bay is yet another cowboy style cash-in-transit heist gone wrong in this country with its voracious appetite for exotic crime. In fact it is nothing of the sort.

    The Surfing Hippo of KwaZulu/Natal

The Surfing Hippo of KwaZulu/Natal A curious story of a surfing hippo has been doing the rounds in South Africa recently. First spotted in the KNZ coastal resort town of Ballito, situated about 40km north of Durban, the vagrant hippo has been steadily making its way south from the area of the St Lucia wetlands in Maputaland, where the species is very common.

CVK in the Community - NeighbourWood Walk No. 3

    http://comoxvalleykids.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ cvk-in-the-community-neighbo…

When I woke up yesterday morning to drizzle and chill, I seriously wondered whether we’d hit the trail for our weekly community walk. Happily, I trusted the weather predictors (dangerous territory) and it turns out that while they were totally wrong about bright sunny skies this morning (where’s

Let me just start by sending out a big, warm hug to all of the wonderful folks who braved the cold to hit the Today Party yesterday! More than 200 kiddos dropped by to decorate cupcakes, colour like crazy and meet some friends over at Karen’s studio.
