proxy

A proxy server (proxy) is a computer system that permits clients to access network connections from other servers indirectly.

This is usually utilized when a file or connection is not available from their local servers. It supplies the resource through caching or by connecting to the particular server.

Use of proxy is also popular in most offices where some sites are being blocked by the administrators. For example, direct connections to Facebook or Twitter might be blocked in a computer network at work. Using a proxy server ensures that the user can access the sites and perform the MySpace Login or Facebook Login.

In order to gain access to these social networks, they use web proxy servers. Some of the most frequently used proxy servers are Vtunnel, Kproxy, Secure Tunnel and Youhide.
