I spent nearly four hours yesterday with a half dozen strangers working to rehabilitate one area of the First Manassas trail at Manassas National Battlefield Park as part of National Public Lands Day. I learned that trail maintenance work is the task of the all-volunteer Potomac Appalachian Trail Club.
