If you want to try out the new BlueZ 4 code, and D-Bus API, come to try the upcoming Fedora 10 Beta (coming Tuesday a week). We have BlueZ 4.x and updated obex-data-server, and gvfs working with the new APIs. gnome-user-share and nautilus-sendto are upcoming as well.

    Caching results

    http://blog.flameeyes.eu/ articles/ 2008/ 08/ 11/ caching-results

As I wrote, I’m improving autotools for some 0pointer projects. Among these there is of course PulseAudio (for which, for a while, I had access to the upstrem Subversion repository). The nice thing about git is that I can easily make a mess, take back a few commits, fix them, and when I’m sure it’s all fine I can push it through.

    http://www.ubuntu1501.com/ 2008/ 06/ play-video-audio-while-playing-flash.html

A sound server, is a background process that accepts sound input from one or more sources (like your applications) and redirecting it to one or more sinks (like your soundcard).

Sound in Tremulous under Ubuntu PulseAudio

    http://notes.xiaoka.com/ 2008/ 05/ 27/ sound-in-tremulous-under-ubuntu-pulseaudi…

Tremulous is aour office-favourite time killer. It uses OpenAL for sound, which does not play well with Ubuntu PulseAudio installation. There is a simple way to convince it to work - just point OpenAL to use ALSA or SDL and it works fine then.
