The Who, Quadrophenia, charity, parka, you get the picture...

Well, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have signed a remake of one (from Lambretta's Who Collection range) and it will be auctioned to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust next Monday (September 8th).

Ran across Ed and the Boys covering a couple of Who classics (Love Reign O’er Me and The Real Me, both from the album Quadrophenia) for some VH1 show.

I've been to a lot of mod events over the years... and one thing has struck me - there ain't as many kids as there used to be. A lot of mod events (not all I'll add, before a buncher angry Modernists come charging after me) are populated, in the main, by older men and women.

Pearl Jam Almost Steal Show at VH1 Rock Honors

Their rendition of Quadrophenia’s “The Real Me” was absolutely amazing. Eddie Vedder fit right into the Daltrey vocal style and the band tore right through one of the most angry and powerful rock songs of all time.
