ramblings

Tag details

Ramblings are most commonly seen in blog posts that aren't trying to accomplish anything, and where the blogger doesn't care about grammar. The writer just wants to write and get out what he has to say regardless of how it might be taken. It can also just be part of the blog title of a non-professional blogger that doesn't take him/herself too seriously.

Entire sites like twitter and other microblogging sites take random ramblings to the extreme with their short character limits and social features. Examples of rambling blog posts might involve boring stories about how long it took to shovel the driveway, what someone ate for dinner, or what time they went to sleep.

Other times, these blogs are very interesting and keep you coming back because you don't know what to expect. BoingBoing is a good example that keeps up with the popular trends and posts interesting stuff regardless of the topic.

College Hockey News: BlogAuthority Authority: 489
Hockey East is divided into three pretty clear tiers right now. There’s the top five, the next four, and then Vermont all by itself at the bottom. Within those top two tiers, there continues to be plenty of movement on a week-to-week basis, and the difference from first to fifth and sixth to ninth continues [...]

I read recently a comment saying that, in the future, when Christianity has largely died out in a secular and decadent West, Christians will not be known for how they worship or who they follow, but simply as that strange bunch of people who don’t kill babies and don’t kill their old people. I could [...]

Ugh, I’m gutted to read of this. As long time readers will know, I dream of the day the two great lungs of Christendom finally join together once again, to breath deeply of that wondrous and tantalising aroma of full and joint communion. It’s the only way forward to truly re-evangelise Europe in my opinion. [...]
