The concept of the raw food diet is gaining popularity everyday for one reason or another, and more people are choosing not to cook their food and eat it raw. Raw foodism is primarily the practice of eating food that is not cooked, processed or is 100% organic.

The raw food diet can be divided into three distinct categories: raw veganism, raw vegetarianism and raw animal food diets. If you choose to be a raw vegan your meal will consist of unprocessed plant foods that cannot be heated above 46 degrees Celsius. The foods include vegetables, nuts, seeds, fruits and sprouts.

As a raw vegetarian your meals will exclude meat, poultry and fish. The diet however makes space for eggs and dairy. Fruit, vegetable, nuts, seeds, grains, honey, eggs, dairy and sprouts are the main constituents of this diet.

The raw animal food diet includes any kind of food that can be consumed raw. Uncooked organ meats, muscle meat, eggs, raw dairy and everything else under the other two diets can be a part of this diet.
