real estate listings

There are real estate listings and then there are real real estate listings. You can get a dud agent who just puts your home for sale on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service), sticks a sign in your yard and sends up a prayer hoping that your home will sell itself, or you can have an agent that works hard in your behalf and really promotes your home with aggressiveness and earns his or her commission. Of course there is everywhere in between, too.

There are some listing agents that will feature your home in the real estate listings, take multiple pictures, set up virtual tours online, and really generate a lot of interest in your home by making it a serious marketing campaign. Even in a down market, setting up carefully and creatively constructed real estate listings can bring in interested parties. Remember, it's a game of numbers. The more eyeballs that view your home, the closer you are to getting offers and the eventual sale.
