It has been said that in today's fast paced, dog eat dog world, people need to learn to just relax a little more. In reality, making more time for the couch or mattress also means you might live a little longer.

When you do a Google Search for the word Relax, you'll notice the first thing that comes up is the eighties disco hit of the same name by British new wavers Frankie Goes To Hollywood. In the lyrics to the song, the phrase "Relax, Don't Do It" is repeated over a thumping disco metronomic beat that suggests anything but a means to relax. If nothing else, it certainly represents bad advice.

The word relax is known by many other names and catch phrases, such as "kicking back" and "chilling out." But in truth, the word relax relates mostly to finding peace of mind, relieving stress or just some plain good old fashioned rest.

Some people relax with a good book, some with a glass of wine. Others may find ways to relax on their favorite couch, easy chair or a bed with a comfortable Mattress. But however you choose to do it, most doctors agree it is essential to maintaining good health that we find both the time and the means to relax.
