renewables

Tag details

Renewables (otherwise known as "Renewable Energy") are derived from natural processes that are, by their nature, replenished constantly. Sunlight, wind, tides, rain, and geothermal heat are all examples of renewable energy provided for free by Nature herself.

Solar power, wind power, the ocean, hydropower, biomass, geothermal resources, biofuels, and hydrogen provide renewable energy that is, relatively speaking, infinite. It is constant and it is limitless.

Juxtapose these types of renewable energy with finite energy sources like natural gas, coal, and oil, and the contrast is striking. Most experts believe the world's oil supply will be used up by 2035 if we keep consuming it at out current rates. However, the possibilities that renewables offer mankind are limitless.

In their various forms, many renewables are derived directly from the sun or from heat generated deep within the earth. These renewables can be utilized by mankind for repowering and are a magnificent source of clean energy. If we can somehow harness these types of power, it may help preserve other, more finite energy sources.

Finally, Nature's renewable resources and Man's insatiable appetite for energy have found each other. It's a win-win! Bloggers speaking about renewables can be found at sites like lawofrenewableenergy and renewableenergylaw.
