"Give it a rest!" is probably a phrase you are well acquainted with. In case you aren't aware what this terminology is referring to, it means to quit focusing on or blabbering on and on about something that the person you are speaking to doesn't want to hear.

Rest
is a serious matter though, and more and more people don't seem to be getting enough of it. Lack of sleep for extended periods of time can cause serious repercussions. Besides lower output and production in the workplace, and just a grouchy mood, researchers have found that not enough rest may also be linked to obesity. We're talking the kind that would be hard to overcome with just an abs workout or two. According to researchers from Columbia University in New York, not getting enough rest may make you hungry. Their sleep study showed that people who sleep 2 to 4 hours per night are 73% more likely to be obese than those who get 7 to 9 hours. People who sleep 6 hours are 23% more likely to be on the heavy side.

We all like to talk about R&R (rest and relaxation), but our lives seemed ever more frantic and harried. It's a chore to schedule in some time to rest. But remember, those who do take time to relax and rest are usually ultimately more productive.
