restaurant marketing

Most people read a recipe in much the same way they read science fiction: They get to the end and think to themselves, "That's never going to happen!"

And while it's true that most people would rather go out to eat than have to cook something at home themselves, restaurants still need to market themselves. Empty tables are the bane of restaurant owners worldwide.

Here are few cheap (or even free) ideas for restaurant marketing:

1. Customer service always has been and always will be the best marketing for your restaurant.
2. Create a website that has your menu on it and your hours of operation. Don't forget your phone number!
3. Make sure your signage is clever. Nobody wants to see another boring sign on their way to work. Make it funny and clever.
4. Deliver fliers that offer a discount on an entree or a free dessert.
5. Offer free samples to people on the street.
6. Loyalty programs. Buy 10 get one free! Keep them coming back!

Every restaurant has competition, even if it's just last night's leftovers in someone's fridge. Bloggers speaking about restaurant marketing can be found at such sites as restaurantmarketingblog and restaurantmarketingblog.growmyrestaurantmarketing.
