Six Components of a GTD Review

    http://www.activityowner.com/ 2008/ 04/ 30/ six-components-of-a-gtd-review/

Things have gotten a bit quiet in "gyrospace" lately. Perhaps this is because folks have given up on their new year's resolutions or moved on to other tools. I'm hoping it is because we are all successfully focusing on Getting Things Done rather than tinkering with our systems and surfing blogs.

    The boundaries of GTD

    http://www.synesthesia.co.uk/ blog/ archives/ 2008/ 02/ 11/ the-boundaries-of-gt…

Ton Zijlstra has some provoking thoughts about the limitations of GTD-like systems :Ton’s Interdependent Thoughts: Thoughts on GTD System Weaknesses In short, Ton highlights the increasing need to apply qualitative (and often social- and/or network-based) approaches to filter the info-glut before you can start putting actions into a GTD-like process.

    http://mcfarlin.typepad.com/ the_underlying_blog/ 2008/ 01/ mind-mapping-in.html

I'm going a million miles an hour this week folks. Send freeze dried coffee. Now. Over the last few months, some great video tutorials have emerged for getting more out of your mind mapping, and I wanted to point you to them. Brian Friedlander at Assistivetek recently posted a great video on using the format painter in MindManager.

    YOU KNOW.... (I Don't!)

    http://mcfarlin.typepad.com/ the_underlying_blog/ 2008/ 01/ you-know-i-dont.html

Recently I took some hard flak from Marc C who left a scathing comment on the interview I did for the Personal Productivity Show. And I'd be content to cry in my beer at the local pub, repeating 'you know' (and not knowing on repeat) until ESPN cuts to infomercials for the night, if it weren't for how right Marc C is.

    Outbox Zero

    http://www.activityowner.com/ 2008/ 01/ 18/ outbox-zero/

If you are using OutLinker you may have achieved Inbox Zero for the first time in awhile. Don't stop there. While your inbox contains a mixture of spam, bulk mail, info-only cc's, and perhaps 10% actionable information, your "Sent Items" will tend to have a much more concentrated set of … commitments

    http://mcfarlin.typepad.com/ the_underlying_blog/ 2008/ 01/ the-stork-is-br.html

Hi Folks, Slowly and steadily, I'm working on the Visual Strategist Newsletter. Now, I've been accused of putting out the most comprehensive set of MindManager templates EVER, the VSS Template Set, so I'm not going to let my ego reign and just send you a newsletter I think is important (whole damn sentence was an oxymoron).
