rewards

Rewards, essentially, are things of value often given in exchange for a given act.

As an example, there are plenty of rewards type credit cards available. Plenty of cards will give air mile rewards for every purchase made on the card. Cash back credit cards will deposit a certain percentage of the holder's spending each month back against the balance or send them a check for the accumulated amount.

Stores may give rewards in the form of points for each purchase as an incentive for the customer to spend more money. The points may allow the customer to receive a discount on future items purchased, get something for free or even enter them in a draw for larger prizes.

When discussing the reward system, we are discussing a collection of brain structures which induce pleasurable effects.
