Road bikes and road bicycles are terms used for racing bikes and bicycles. Road racing bikes are available with and without gears depending on the need of the buyer. Road bikes also come with fixed gears and single gears. These bikes mostly have drop handlebars that make it more convenient for racing.

In order to add to the convenience factor, road racing bikes are comparatively much lighter than the regular bikes. Based on the combinations and permutations of all the features, a variety of road bikes are currently available in the market.
