rss feeds
RSS Feeds are basically a simple web solution to keep up to date with a website every time it adds new content. Rather than visiting your favorite blog everyday to see if they
have posted something new you can simply subscribe to the sites RSS feed.
RSS literally stands for Real Simple Syndication and it's basically a file that transforms a web page to it's most basic element which is text. Depending on what type of feed reader you use, you also get content such as photos and embedded videos.
Most of the other web design elements are stripped out of the web site. RSS Feeds can be used for article marketing to increase website traffic. You can submit RSS feed to services like feedburner with SEO Software or manually.
RSS feeds use the XML file format. To be able to read RSS feeds you're going to need a feed reader. There are web based readers like Google Reader and desktop applications like
Outlook. Most web browsers can read feeds also. Bloggers are writing about RSS Feeds at Submit RSS Feed and RSS 'R' US.
