For millions of internet users worldwide the word search has taken on all new meaning. At our fingertips is a world of information that we can search for at the drop of a hat. Since the initial launch of internet search engines, when Alta Vista was king of the search, the world of searching has exploded.

Google remains the industry leader with more than 64% of the market share; Yahoo and Bing are competing but still far behind with 16% and 10% market share respectively.

The science of presenting websites and webpages to the search engines in order get listed and gain traffic back from prospective searchers is called SEO or search engine optimization. In order to attempt to improve your position for particular keywords, businesses often hire an SEO company.
