Everybody loves a smart looking shirt. Businessmen and politicians prefer the conservative, button down variety, usually accompanied by an equally smart looking tie. Rockers and jockers on the other hand, tend to go more for the tried and true Plain White Ts (which is also, not coincidentally, the name of a damn fine little rock and roll band).

But when does a shirt become more than just a shirt?

Many advertisers have taken their cues from rock stars and athletic endorsement deals by plastering their company logos and products on their own shirts. Other enterprising sorts have taken to getting paid to become walking billboards by wearing these same company shirts.

Not surprisingly, a lot of this action takes place at websites which use their cyber real estate to promote Shirts Online. The big retailers like Amazon were early leaders in this trend, but there are also a growing number of smaller, specialty sites devoted to the shirt trade.

You'll find bloggers wearing their shirts proudly at sites like T-Shirt Hell and I Love Your Shirt.
