Sneakers are rubber-soled shoes that are designed for comfort and everyday wear.

Popular types of sneakers include Nike's Air Force One and Adidas' Superstar.

Many celebrities have made money promoting many different lines of sneakers from various companies. Some celebrity athletes have even gone so far as to make their name a brand for a specific line of shoe, including the likes of Shaquille O'Neal and Michael Jordan.


Sneakers became a form of fashion statement not long after numerous celebrity endorsements. The first pair of sneakers was designed for basketball in 1907 by Spalding.


Sneakers are quite basic in design but are mostly made from flexible materials to allow for every day activity.
