Blog chatter around snowboards is typically cyclical. In the late winter/early spring the blogosphere lights up with sneak previews and catalog scans of the following season's gear releases. Summer is relative quiet time, with infrequent posts from backcountry snowboarders and film crews filming in the Southern Hemisphere. The blogs begin to build momentum again in late summer and fall as the first flakes of snow arrive, signaling the snowboard season is near.
