Videos
http://www.clararaubertas.net/ blog/ 2008/ 05/ videos.htmlI'm not sure quite how watching videos at parties started to bother me; I know it's much more fun to laugh at stuff with other people than by yourself, so watching funny stuff has its advantages as a social activity. But when someone starts playing videos, I usually have fun, but it doesn't seem quite "social" enough to me.

So sociable
http://lifeafterbaby.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 17/ so-sociable/Tonight we went to a high school open house. Something I haven’t done since…well, since I can remember. And every single one I’ve gone to has been awkward and uncomfortable for me. But not tonight! I sincerely enjoyed being with people. Didn’t want to leave.

It’s the May 24 weekend already!
http://blog.triciaswaterdragon.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ its-the-may-24-weekend-already…I didn’t realize until yesterday that this weekend is our famous May 24 weekend here in Canada. I have no idea why we are having our Victoria Day weekend so early. Very odd. I think the long weekend should be the following weekend, but I guess not this year.

Shaking The Month-Long Hangover
http://www.jackieandfritz.com/ 2008/ 05/ shaking-month-long-hangover.htmlA Jackie & Fritz reader has emailed us, wondering why the website has had some long lapses in updates recently. The truth is simple... we've been busy and nearly drunk. Jackie & Fritz have spent 17 of the last 36 nights in hotel rooms (putting Elliot Spitzer's numbers to shame, we might add).

“Don’t Trust Anyone Over 30″
http://www.opheliaswims.com/ blog/ ?p=393Abbie Hoffman’s credo of “don’t trust anyone over 30,” that was a rallying cry by the generation that came into adulthood during the mid 1960’s. Abbie Hoffman was the poster boy for radical activism and youth rebellion. And he co-founded the Yippies (Youth International Party). Not much has changed.

Being a Bridge in Pittsburgh
http://pghwomenbloggers.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ being-bridge-in-pittsburgh.htmlI had a high school teacher who always told me to a bridge. Obviously, she was not trying to encourage me to connect the Fort Pitt tunnels with downtown. She meant that I should make an effort to introduce people who might not otherwise meet one another. I've always remembered this and made an effort to do so.

Gatlinburg Fine Art Festival tomorrow
http://www.charisma-art.com/ sheep_incognito_blog/ Gatlinburg-Fine-Art-Festival-…We made it up the mountains to Gatlinburg today, just in time for a maaaahvelous VIP dinner hosted by various organisations here in town. Meeting other artists of shows gone by is always the highlight of any art show for me, so this evening was very pleasant.

Recovery Is Underrated
http://if-i-were-your-coach.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ recovery-is-underrated.htmlTook my first run since the triathlon the other evening. While it was only a little over 4.25 miles and at right around my half-marathon race pace, it was not much over the distance I wanted to do. Originally the plan was more like six to eight miles, at a medium pace (for those who have listened to Adam Sandler, let's not go any further).

Balancing Act
http://www.flowinharmony.com/ blog/ ?p=25Every Saturday it is my daughter’s responsibility to water the house plants. In truth, I handed over this chore so that when things die I stopped taking it so personally! Last week, in the midst of this chore and with a deeply pondering energy, she asked, “mom, don’t you think it’s weird that a
