CNET is reporting the release of Netflix’s Apple TV rival, simply called Player by Roku, and Napster is getting into the digital music distribution with apparently an identical model to iTunes ($0.99 a song, $9.95 an album).

In order to stay away from this mess I use a combination of Note taking software Evernote and a sticky pad software to stick notes to my desktop.

I have been using it for just over 24 hours, and am pleased with it. I originally heard about Flock about a year ago, but had no interest in what appeared to me to be Firefox with some bloated extensions.

In 1999 it started off as a file sharing service that exploded with popularity. People could share and download songs freely, but the service was doomed to failure since it used central servers to connect one user to another.
